My degrees would almost paper a wall. My experiences are
broad and represent business, education, and internet
marketing. Yet...neither the formal education nor the
range of experiences have prepared me to succeed on the
internet. Years ago, I was the Valedictorian of the
sophomore graduating class of the Temple Junior College; an
honor gratuate for my Bachelor's Degree at the University
of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas; and honor graduate
in the Master's Degree Program at Baylor University. I was
in business with my first husband for 18 years until his
death. We had been active in The March of Dimes, The
Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star, Rainbow for
Girls, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and I had been President of
a 758 member Parent-Teacher Association. I was a member of
Alpha Chi on both Baylor Campuses. After I got my two
children through college, I sold our home in Illinois and
lived on campus at the University of Illinois while working
on my advanced degree.My majors have been in English,
Biological Sciences, Education, Social Studies, Curriculum
Design and personnel Management.
While teaching in the Arlington Heights Public Schools, it
was my very great honor to be a curriculum director for the
primary grades, a coordinator for the Northern Illinois
University Student Teacher Program, a pilot lead teacher
for a Mathematics and and an Addison-Wesley Reading Program
for primary children, to be sent to a week-long education
Conference in Toronto, and to have been nominated
Outstanding Educator by the district. I retired early from
education due to a heart condition of my second husband.
He had a defective aortic valve replaced and his doctor
advised me to be at home with him. As I am sure you know by
now, almost all of our savings have gone to pay medical
expenses and living expenses. There are no available funds
for tuition for internet learning. It is my belief that my
strong motivation, my dedication to learning, and my
intelligence would lead me to success in your program
